Our story began in water infrastructure
Ecoroot grew out of our founder Vamshi Krishna's work in water and wastewater infrastructure. Working on the systems that carry and treat a city's wastewater, he saw first-hand what household cleaning chemicals do downstream — everything we pour down the drain ends up in that water.
So we started making cleaners differentlyEvery Ecoroot cleaner begins with citrus peels fermented with jaggery for 90 days in our in-house factory. The fermented liquid is rich in bioenzymes — enzymes that help break down everyday grease, grime and stains. We blend it with coconut-derived surfactants to make our floor, dish, laundry, toilet and kitchen cleaners.
Our cleaners are free from SLS/SLES, LABSA, phosphates, chlorine bleach, optical brighteners, synthetic dyes and parabens. A small amount of fragrance is added for a consistent scent. They are made for homes with kids and pets, and not tested on animals.
